"Keeping calm during the exam is the key "

hi all, i have a driving phobia and driving is an essential skill to be independent. So i started keeping efforts from 2021 onwards weekly one day with my driving instructor but not driving privately. Though i am taking a lot of lessons, i didnt practise private due to personal reasons and also gave a break for learning due to many reasons. 2023 year i kept myself to get the driving license as new year resolution. Many people may think that driving is very easy why it is so difficult for this woman. some how, i took a lot of lesson first to come out of that driving nervousness. It took quite a lot of time. This year i started sincerely without much breaks and from September very sincerely like weekly 2 times. I couldnt sleep for almost 4 days before my test. The warmup lesson didnt go great but it helped me a lot for brushing the basics. The moment i sat in the car, my nervousness increased. I cannot speak German too. My expert is a very nice and kind person. He told me in a very calm manner slowly and told me that he will give instructions rechts, links etc. We started and first turn right and went over the bridge, then we can take right only. I got place only for a car and i rushed the car, he told me we have Zeit, which calmed me more, then we went straight to pfaffikon and at the round about took 2nd exit and entered to Wollerau , again took left and went to Industrial area. There he told me that i can do emergency break for which he gave instructions well in advance. He mentioned that i performed good. then we went out and entered to wollearu neighbourhood streets, narrow paths to Richterswil. i Have to go through 4 stop signs which i have done good (No rolling stops) , right priorities which went good, in one place i missed the no entry sign, expert too (since the sign is not placed in visible place and turned around). Construction works are happening. I have to do back reversing around a curve from the uphill to a parking lot downhill (steep bend) which i did good. Then, after driving for some time, i have to do parllell parking which i am very weak at. Luckily, My instructor Ivo prepared me very well in advance and told me to take the advantage of the place to go forward and correct reverse which i have done good. Then we went on highway where initially it is 120, later 100 and then 80. i overtook one big vehicle in front of me for which expert felt good. Attention at the exit of the autobahn at pfaffikon , it is only 40 and a steep bend. We came back to the test center and i have to perform Angular parking backwards. Immediately after the parking, expert congradulated me with a suggestion and i have to do more foresight. I couldnt believe my ears, one of the best days of my life. Keeping calm during the exam is the key which is very difficult to practise but belive that you can. Expert is very friendly. Though i cannot speak german, he made me feel less stressful with his calm nature. Thank you to the expert and my driving instructor Ivo. Highly recommended.
